Games For Kid’s Birthday Parties
Posted in Games & Entertainment on January 24, 2012
For small boys and girls, a birthday party would not be complete without having party games. So if you have a tiny tot or if your little celebrant is not so little anymore, here are some games that you ought to check out.
Games For Pre Schoolers
Musical chairs is a absolute must have when throwing a party for pre-schoolers. The concept is simple and easy enough for tiny tots to understand but even parents will find this game loads of fun. Basically, you have to setup chairs in a circle. When counting, there has got to be one less chair than there are players. When the music is playing, dance around the chairs, then when the music stops, hurry to sit on one. The person left standing is deemed to be out. With every round, someone loses, a chair is gotten rid of, up until there are two players fighting over one seat. The final person sitting is the winner.
Balloon pop is second on the list. Basically, the name says it all. You release a number of balloons on the floor or wide area then let the tiny tots start sitting on them and popping them. To add a little bit of competitiveness as well as cooperation, you can divide the children into teams and give them an equal number of balloons to pop. First team to pop all balloons given to them will be deemed to be the winner.
5-8 Year Olds
Newspaper dance is always a big hit. You pair the kids up and give them a newspaper. When the music is playing, the tiny tots have to dance around the newspaper. Then when the music ends, both have to fit their feet on the newspaper. With every go, the newspaper is folded in half. Players who fall or whose feet are touching the ground are out. Whoever is left standing when the paper is folded really small is the winner.
